Squabbler is a comedy app that referees real arguments like a sport and scores who "won." You give it an argument — by recording audio, uploading an audio file, sharing screenshots, uploading a PDF or text file, or pasting text — and it produces a playful analysis: a title, a who-won percentage split, highlights, a short write-up, a verdict, and a suggestion for what to do next. It's entertainment, not legal, medical, or relationship advice.
This policy explains what we process, why, and who helps us do it. We've tried to keep it in plain English.
The short version.
There is no account. We never ask for your name, email, or a login. Your past arguments and the first name you type for the greeting stay on your device only — they are not uploaded to our servers. To analyze an argument we send its content to AI/transcription providers through our own backend, which holds the API keys and does not store the argument content. We don't sell your data.
Squabbler is anonymous. You don't create an account, and you don't provide a name, email, phone number, or password to use it. You may type a first name inside the app so it can greet you — that name is saved locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.
When you submit an argument for analysis, the content you provide is processed so the app can transcribe it (if it's audio) and generate its comedic verdict. Depending on how you submit it, that content may include:
Please only submit arguments involving people who are okay with it. You're responsible for the content you choose to share, including audio that may contain other people's voices.
The app does not talk to the AI and transcription providers directly. Instead, your submission goes through our own backend proxy (a Cloudflare Worker) that holds the API keys and forwards the request to the right provider. The proxy does not require or store any personal identity, and it does not persist the content of your arguments — it passes the request through to generate your result and returns the result to your device.
To make the app work, parts of your submission are processed by the service providers below. Each receives only what's needed for its job, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

These providers process data under their own privacy and security terms. We recommend reviewing their policies if you'd like more detail on how they handle data.
Your past arguments (including their transcripts and results) and the first name you type for the greeting are stored only locally on your device (using the app's on-device storage). They are not uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app, that local data is removed with it. Clearing the app's data or reinstalling will also remove it.
Our backend does not persist the content of your arguments — audio, text, screenshots, and documents are processed to produce your result and are not stored by us afterward. The random device ID is used to keep a running count of free usage. Your saved arguments live on your device until you delete them or delete the app.
Our sub-processors may temporarily process and log requests as part of delivering their service, according to their own retention practices. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase and subscription records as required to provide and account for subscriptions.

Squabbler is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we'll address it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be noted in the app.
